Mission Statement

Reef Without Borders funds and documents coral reef restoration in Cebu, Philippines and across the Indo-Pacific. We film every mission, GPS-record every coral planted, and provide per-mission impact reports to every donor and funder. Our model combines active coral restoration with radical transparency to build the accountability infrastructure that the reef conservation sector lacks.

Current Programs

What we fund and how we measure it.

Reef Rescue Dives

Funded, science-partnered coral restoration dives at reef sites in Cebu, Philippines. Every mission includes pre-dive baseline survey, coral fragment collection, underwater nursery maintenance, transplantation, and post-dive documentation published publicly.

Outcome metrics: Corals planted per mission, 6-month survival rate, 12-month survival rate, reef cover change at monitored sites.

The Reef Archive

A publicly accessible database of reef health data at every site we work. Baseline surveys, restoration records, and long-term monitoring data available to researchers, conservation managers, and the public.

Outcome metrics: Sites documented, data points recorded, researcher access requests, data citations.

Coral and Kin

Ocean literacy program for Filipino-American youth in Houston and school communities in Cebu, developed with Philippine marine scientists. Connects diaspora youth to the reefs their heritage comes from. Free to all participants.

Outcome metrics: Students reached, workshops delivered, pre and post knowledge assessments.
