I’m Clarisa Strohmeyer, founder of Reef Without Borders. I’ve been diving in the Philippines for over 25 years.
During that time, I’ve seen reefs I know well gradually decline; bleaching events, dynamite fishing, typhoons, overfishing, and warming waters have changed ecosystems that were once thriving.
Reef Without Borders was created to focus on practical coral restoration in the water, working alongside local communities who depend on these reefs every day.
Our goal is straightforward: restore damaged reef systems and support the people and ecosystems connected to them.
Dindo Paquibot
Director of Dive Operations
Dindo leads field diving operations for Reef Without Borders in the Philippines. He supports coral restoration activities, assists with underwater assessments, and coordinates local dive logistics for our restoration work.
He works closely with local partners and ensures field activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
Simple mission. Hard work.
Reef Without Borders restores coral reefs in Cebu, Philippines. We grow coral fragments, plant them on damaged reefs, and track whether they survive. We work with local divers and fishing communities, and we film every dive so you can see exactly what your money paid for. Our first restoration mission is scheduled for Q4 2026.
How we budget the first mission.
We are pre-launch, so instead of claiming a spending history we do not have, here is how funds are budgeted for the first Reef Rescue mission.
Field operations, largest share
Dive costs, boat, equipment, and coral nursery materials in Cebu
Science and documentation
UP Marine Science Institute collaboration, filming, and GPS survey work
Community training
Training local divers and fishers in Cebu in restoration techniques
Administration, kept lean
Compliance, accounting, and Form 990 filing, smallest share by design
Real partners. Real credentials.

Local Cebu dive team
Led by Dindo Paquibot, PADI Instructor since 2007, with 20+ years in Philippine waters.
Governed by a real board
A licensed attorney, a CPA, and a management consultant oversee the organization.
Partner and field photos will be added here after our first mission.
Small ecosystems. Enormous stakes.
Coral reefs cover less than 1% of the ocean floor but the impact of losing them reaches a billion people.
Give once. See the reef come back.
Your donation funds the dive, the coral, and the science. Every dollar is documented and reported back to you.
